This Privacy Policy explains how Nibble Audio, Inc. ("Nibble Audio," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use Syncd apps, websites, invite pages, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Account and profile data: phone number, verification status, display name, username, profile photo, and account metadata.
  • Contacts and invite data: when you grant contact permission, we process contact phone numbers and names to help you find and invite people.
  • Content and activity: photos, videos, captions, group membership data, follows, likes, nudges, notifications, and related timestamps/metadata.
  • Device and technical data: push messaging tokens, installation IDs, app/device platform data, and service diagnostics.
  • Derived and recommendation signals: engagement and ranking signals (such as post activity, follower counts, and interaction metrics) used to power search and discovery features.
  • Future social feature data: if we add features like chat, comments, reactions, communities, or creator tools, we may collect and process related content and metadata.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate users and maintain account integrity.
  • Enable social features (groups, invites, follows, likes, nudges, discovery, profiles).
  • Host, process, and deliver user content (including media previews and composites).
  • Send service, transactional, and push notifications.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and policy violations; enforce our Terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect rights and safety.
  • Develop and launch new social, communication, and community features.

3. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)

Where required by law, we process personal data under one or more legal bases, including performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as safety and service improvement), consent (for permissions like contacts/notifications), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Information

  • With other users: profile, group, and content information as needed for social functionality.
  • With service providers: cloud hosting, storage, authentication, notifications, security, analytics, and support.
  • For legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, legal process, or to protect users and the Service.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. If we introduce cross-context advertising or other regulated sharing models in the future, we will provide applicable notices and choices.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. Retention periods vary by data type and context.

If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal data we control, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup requirements. Some content or records may persist where required for integrity of shared group history, legal compliance, or legitimate business needs.

6. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can update profile data in-app.
  • You can manage notification and contacts permissions in device settings.
  • You can request account deletion via in-app account settings.
  • You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion, as applicable by law.

If you are in certain jurisdictions (including California, the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), you may have additional statutory rights, such as portability, objection, restriction, or appeal rights, subject to legal limitations and verification.

7. International Data Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you reside. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data in violation of law, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Policy Changes
